The Kingfisher Retirement Trust
You may have been a member of the Kingfisher Retirement Trust (or KRT) if you were employed by an operating Company within Kingfisher Group between April 1988 and March 2004.
The Trust was legally wound up on 5 January 2009 and all remaining benefits have been transferred out of KRT into BlackRock.

BlackRock merger
BlackRock is to merge its two life insurance companies - BlackRock Pensions Limited (BPL) and BlackRock Asset Management Pensions Limited (BAMPL). The merger is planned to take place on 31 December 2011. After the transfer your policy will be transferred to BAMPL and BAMPL will then be renamed BlackRock Life Limited.
You should have received a letter recently from BlackRock explaining the reasons behind the merger and confirming the effect it may have on the policy you currently hold. The letter also contains some questions and answers about the merger.
